GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF HADJOD
It grows up to 1.5m long and have branches measuring 8-10 cm long and 1.2 cm wide. Leathery edge is attached along each angle. Leaves are toothed and have three lobes. Flowers of this plant are of yellow, white or green color and are cup-shaped calyx. Tendrils of this plant are slender, long and simple. Hadjod berries are obovoid and 6mm long.

It is found everywhere in India especially in warmer regions. It grows in gardens, boundary walls, cultivated fields, and hanging pots. Outside India, it is distributed in East Africa, Ceylon, and Malay.
