Feet, they carry you from here to there every day. But you may not think much about them until they hurt. And when they do, you want relief. To get the right treatment, you need to know the problem. The first thing to consider is where your pain is located.

There are numerous problems like burning foot, foot pain, swelling, intrinsic foot etc. here we will discuss about the common cause of intrinsic foot and burning syndrome, how they present, what causes them and how they are treated. WHAT IS INTRINSIC FOOT AND BURNING SYNDROME?

Burning feet syndrome, also known as Grierson-Gopalan syndrome. It is a condition that may cause severe burning and aching of the feet. Paresthesia is another the medical term for hot, painful, "pins and needles" sensation in the feet. These sensations can be mild to severe, and may be acute (short term) or chronic (long term) in nature.

Nerve damage is the common cause of Burning foot pain. It may develop due to an injury or medical condition. Symptoms may be constant or come and go, vary in intensity and be accompanied by other sensations such as pins and needles or numbness.

According to Ayurveda, there are three energies i.e. vata, pitta and kapha in the body which is responsible for healthy body. Imbalance of any one causes disease condition in the body. Intrinsic foot and burning syndrome mainly occurs due to the imbalance of vata and pitta doshas in the body.

CAUSES OF INTRINSIC FOOT AND BURNING SYNDROME

There are several reasons where several people experience burning feet and while others signify a more serious problem that requires immediate medical attention.

In addition to the Tingling sensation, paresthesia symptoms can sometimes include:

  • Redness
  • Swelling
  • Increased sweating
  • Dull ache
  • Increased sensation of temperature

SOME IMPORTANT TIPS FOR FOOT CARE

  • Avoid wearing tight shoes
  • Keep your feet clean and let them breathe
