The testis is the male reproductive organ. Testis and Epididymis both are paired structures and both are located within the scrotum. In some cases, the testis gets inflamed due to various factors and this condition is known as orchitis. These are vital structures for reproduction because the spermatogenesis process occurs in the testis. Orchitis mainly affects men in adolescence. Other causative organisms are viruses and sexually transmitted infections and infections acquired after surgical procedures. Early management is a must in the late cases of orchitis because due to this disease spermatogenesis process is hampered and which leads to infertility or low sperm count and it also deteriorates the quality of the sperm.
