How To Treat Fatty Liver Disease Naturally

Healthy lifestyle habits and nutritional diet helps to retrieve strength, fortitude and peace. However, due to fast lifestyle we acquired today like to eat fast and canned food and reduce physical activity made our health worse. Liver diseases discussions have become a popular topic among the general population these days. Abnormalities in liver make it less liable to metabolize food nutrients and detoxification. Fatty liver is one of the biggest and harmful ailment of liver.

If fat is starting to deposit from its normal limit in the liver tissues, it is the case of fatty liver. Fat accumulation increases 5 to 10% in liver tissues and spaces between them that make liver heavier.

FATTY LIVER CONDITIONS CAN HAVE MANY POSSIBLE EXPLANATIONS

One is that the liver got damaged to up to great level that it cannot work efficiently. Another consideration is that the fat extraction from the intestines increases, the place where consumed food is processed. The liver also produces fats that are absorbed by the body from diet supplements. So, if the diet is rich with fat quantities continually, the fat content consuming at the liver will also remain high.

FATTY LIVER MAY BE OF VARIOUS TYPES AS REPORTED BY ITS CAUSES

Alcoholic fatty liver: This condition is due to heavy consumption of alcohols.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver: It can be due various conditions like diseases or due to medicines, toxins.

Another condition used to appear in pregnant women that can be recovered after delivery.

In severe cases, fat accumulation in liver can cause swelling which further leads to damage of liver cells and cause cirrhosis. This state is known as Nonalcoholic Steatosis hepatitis.

SYMPTOMS SHOWN BY PATIENTS OF FATTY LIVER ARE

Their symptoms can be mixed with other conditions but also prominent in fatty liver. These can be:

  • Heaviness in and around where liver is situated.
  • Nausea and Vomiting
  • Pain
  • Swollen foot
  • Liver inflammation
  • Liver enlargement

DIAGNOSIS OF FATTY LIVER

As we know, excess accumulation of fats in the liver cells can create inflammations within the cells. Liver enzymes in the cells, released into the blood stream when injury occurs.

So, regular blood tests will detect this elevation of liver enzymes.

CT scanning can be done also.

There is no proper medications for its eradication. Natural ways of treatment are there that show great effect of recovery. Natural herbs, remedies and lifestyle can make its way to cure and recover fatty liver.

First and Foremost, there are some very fruitful natural organic herbs that can reverse the fatty liver situation

Bhumi Amla:

This herb is found in regions of Amazon and other wet rain forests. It resembles with the plant called Amla but its height is very much low from Amla.

It mitigates kapha and pitta that promotes digestion and stimulates liver. Their roots have properties to cure liver ailments.

Bhumi Amla should be taken 4 grams in the state of disease regularly.

This can be taken in the form of juice up to 10 to 20 ml that is helpful for the treatment of fatty liver.

Turmeric:

Turmeric is a rhizomatous plant which belongs to ginger family. It is commonly used as colouring and flavouring agents in cooking. It is known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-septic properties. It helps to cure digestive problems, liver, heart and skin diseases. Its effect is due to an antioxidant compound present in it, Curcumin.

Blend ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder in a cup of water and take it.

It should be consumed two times daily for a several weeks in morning.

One should also take ½ teaspoon of turmeric with a cup of hot milk.

Punarnava:

It is known for its diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties. It is natural toner for liver. It controls diabetes also.

Licorice:

It is also known as common name mulethi. It is cultivated for its root. Its root has anti-inflammatory and expectorant effect. Licorice fights with virus responsible for hepatitis and supplies useful antioxidant compounds to regain liver conditions. It can be taken as:

Use as powder of the licorice root.

Make a tea by pouring boiling water with the powder. Consume this tea once or twice a day.

Kutki:

Kutki is a herb found at the height of 3000 to 5000 meter above of the sea level. It balances both pitta and kapha and supports healthy immune system. It has a deep cleansing action on both the liver. Thus supporting healthy liver function and the proper flow of bile. Therefore this is a great option as an herbal antibiotic, Pitta pacifier, anti-inflammatory agent and detoxifier.

Its root powder helps to improve secretions of liver and help in metabolism of fat. So helpful in treatment of fatty liver.

It should be taken as mixture of half teaspoon kutki, 1 tbsp aloe vera and 1 tsp honey. Take three times daily with meals.

Make the mixture of Kutki powder and neem power. Take this mixture regularly.

VARIOUS FOODS ARE THERE THAT STRENGTHEN THE LIVER

If you want to take one step further to manage the diseased condition, there are plenty of food items which give support and power to the liver and help to maintain fatty liver.

GREEN AND LEAFY VEGETABLES

These are rich in many nutrients like vitamins, minerals, flavonoids, fibers and more. Leafy one help to create and flow of bile, a substance that removes toxins from the body. Cruciferous one contain organic substances that help to create enzymes to digest the food.

Leafy include bitter gourd, arugula, mustard greens, chicory, dandelion greens and spinach.

Cruciferous include broccoli and Brussels.

An Apple a day:

Apple contains high amount of pectin and melic acid that helps in removing toxins from digestive tract and cholesterol from the blood and is thus allows the liver to do work.

Have one apple every day or drink it as juice daily.

Lemons in the morning:

Cup of Green Tea:

  • Maintain body weight and keep doing exercise.
  • Stop alcohol consumption.

  • Drink plenty of water.
