Hyperthyroidism Treatment in Ayurveda

Hyperthyroidism Treatment in Ayurveda

Hyperthyroidism or Thyrotoxicosis is a condition in which a thyroid gland secretes excess hormones called thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronineT3. The thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland located at the front of neck. It produces tetraiodothyronine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3), which are two primary hormones that control how body cells use energy. Thyroid gland regulates metabolism through the release of these hormones.

Hyperthyroidism occurs when the thyroid makes too much T4, T3, or both. This condition is commonly seen more in women between 30-50 yrs.
