Multiple sclerosis - Ayurvedic treatment for Multiple sclerosis

Yes, I had a patient of Multiple sclerosis too and infact many patients I have seen in life, but this one was latest about 4 days ago. She came to me for the first time about 15 days ago and now she can dance. She responded within 1 day.. even I was surprised. I know she is young about 24 years of age, but still I was not expecting improvement so quickly.

Here is what you can give -

vrihtvat chintamani ras - 2 gm
Vatkulantak Ras - 2 gm
VatGajankush Ras - 5 gm
Rasraj Ras - 2 gm
Abhrak Bhsam - 5 gm
Swarn Basant Malti Ras - 2 gm
Praval Panchamrti - 5 gm
Bramhi Vati with Gold - 2 gm
Chaturbhuj Ras - 2 gm
Smriti Sagar Ras - 5 gm
Ekang Veer Ras - 5 gm
---------------------------------
Make 40 packs of these and give 1 pack twice daily, for 20 days.
Repeat after that. After 3-4 courses she should be fine. Along with these, give her
Ashwagandharishta - 30 ml twice daily
Balarishta - 30 ml twice daily

Bramh Rasayan- 2 teaspoonfuls twice daily.
Memory Supoprt formula - 2 capsules twice daily
Constipation should be avoided , give her Aloe vera juice.

  1. The patient would be made to lie down in a wooden container which is the size of the average human body. The bundle of cloth would be dipped into the heated oil and then squeezed slowly. Then the experienced masseur would knead the bundle all over the body of the patient. It would be done slowly so that the oil may spread equally with the same amount of heat and then briskly. The patients head should not sweat during this pizhicil treatment.

I added Vaat Gajendersingh ras- 10 gm, UnmaadGajankush Ras - 10 gm, Amrit Bhallatak Avaleha, Bramh Rasayan.. The pervious medicines were -

  3. Ayurvedic doctors who are doing Ayurvedic Treatment of Multiple Sclerosis, I would recommend that they must recommend the massage with following oils. The massage should be full body masssage. Any of the oils can be used
    1. Bala Oil
    2. Maha Narayan Oil
    3. Prasarani Oil
    4. Dhanwantaram Oil
    5. Bala Ashvagandhadi Oil
    6. Khir Bala oil

Any of the above oils (Whichever available) can be used for massage in Multiple sclerosis patients.

The anti-vata diet and Ama digestive diet should be followed -

Avoid - Curd, cold sticky, greasy food, fast food, cheese, heavy food, soft drinks, pasta, pizza with cheese, Plain Rice, Beer, Frozen food

Advised - Warm soups, moong dal, vegetables, warm food, Fruits and salads.
Herbal supplements made from Ashwagandha, Bramhi (Bacopa) Valerian, Guggul, Jatamansi, Tripahala, should be consumed.

Ghee made from Cow milk should be consumed. Ghee (butter oil) processed with Bramhi called Bramhi ghrit is excellent for multiple sclerosis.

Multiple sclerosis patients should get the massage done regularly.

Bramh Rasayan and other herbal jams containing nerve strengthening properties should be used.

Bramhi, Shankhpushpi, Mulethi, Vacha ( Saarasvat Churna) are also recommended.

The metal based / mineral based medicines explained in above comment should also be taken by Multiple sclerosis patient.

Everything should go under the supervision of an Ayurveda expert or a medical specialist.

  6. Hi Dr.Chauhan, I am coming to Kerala this September 2015. I am also an M.S. patient, diagnosed in 2011, with mild to more severe symptoms. The hospital I go to, does not use Rasayana preparations. Is it possible I take home with what you recommend? I live & work in Germany so I would need to purchase your medicines in India. Thanks for letting me know. Diana
